Have you ever noticed how some people seem to go a little crazy or become someone else once they reach a certain level of “success”? There’s an old proverb that says, “If you want to test someone’s heart, give them a little fame.”  Fascinating right?  First time I read this proverb, I was expecting, give them a little money, or give them a little power, or something more material.  It stopped me in my tracks a little until I had some time to reflect on it.  Fame can be a powerful influencer on one’s view of oneself, one’s status in the world.  Only those with a strong and grounded heart can still recognize their equality to others while supposedly being exalted by fame.
